exploring web 2.0
I didn’t know the platform del.icio.us and it’s quite nice to look around there and search through other profiles but I don’t think it’s too helpful. I prefer using google as a main search engine but delicious could be an additional source to consult.
What I’ve learned in general is that I like the idea of web 2.0. It’s great that all of us created their own blog and that the idea of wikis became clear. What I don’t like is the structure of many web 2.0 tools. It’s often unstructured and confusing. If I’m just thinking of our course where we’re working with 3 different websites….

What I’ve learned so far helps me as a language teacher because I got to know different websites which could be helpful later on. And I learned to try to keep up-to-date with everything and that is what counts in my future life as a teacher.

I totally agree with your last comment – this is why I didn’t give up although I had all kinds of ‘initial difficulties’ having joined the course two weeks after it’s official start…. The del_icio_us buttons didn’t want to install on my computer, I didn’t know how to edit my blog and so far, I didn’t manage to contribute to our web 2.0 classroom wiki…. However, I also want to keep up-to-date (I just realized that I’m obviously not…) and adapt to technology development. So far, I have gained a lot of new and valuable aspects in this seminar for using the web 2.0 for EFL teaching!
Hopefully we will find a way out of the Web 2.0 chaos! We are on the way…;-)
